Innovative Artists Talent and Literary Agency, Inc.

Scott Harris and Howard Goldberg founded the boutique talent agency in California in 1982. In the nearly 30 years since, the company has expanded its client roster and offices, to include facilities in New York and Chicago.

Talent Agent

A talent agent is responsible for securing employment opportunities for his or her roster of clients, which may include performers, screenwriters, composers, designers, and a number of other creative professionals in the entertainment industry. An agent differs from a talent manager in that an agent is licensed and operates under strict state and local laws.

Advertising Art Director

Visual advertising should be eye-catching but is also intended to make an emotional promise to the consumer. The most difficult task of the advertising art director is to interpret the client’s vision as presented in preliminary concept meetings, and return with a composite (“comp”) that accurately expresses the theme of the product and meets with the approval of the client. The tools have changed somewhat over the years, but the process of conceptualization still begins with that mental “a-ha” moment.

Agent's Assistant

Working on an agent’s desk is a special circle of assistant hell, but if you can survive, the payoffs can make it worthwhile. Picture poor Lloyd, toiling away under Ari Gold’s abuse in Entourage, and you are not far off from reality. If the word “abuse” has not already caused you to re-evaluate your career aspirations, then you may have the right attitude to survive the boot camp that is being an entertainment agent’s assistant.
