If you want to make it in the movie biz, you need to be dedicated, willing to work hard, and a mastermind at networking. Such is the case for Matthew Love, a digital imaging technician who works on a variety of Hollywood movies, commercials, and music video sets.

Band Videographer

Similar to the work of a unit videographer, a band videographer is a freelance cameraperson who is hired to capture footage of live performances on behalf of the artist or band for the purposes of promotion.

Video Logger

In a small, dark closet of a production facility there sits a young man or woman who is well into hour 325 of Jersey Shore. This person is not the president of The Situation’s fan club, but a video logger whose job it is to watch and annotate the months’ worth of fist-pumping and binge-drinking recorded in order to produce a 13-episode season. 

Wildfire Post-Production Studios

Wilshire Stages was purchased and renamed Wildfire Post-Production Studios in 2007 by the duo of veteran re-recording and sound mixers Chris David and Leslie Shatz.

Supervising Editor

Hired toward the latter part of principal photography in most cases, the supervising editor is the first point of contact between the director, producers, and the larger editing staff. He or she may give input as to the hiring of the editor and subordinate crew, and will be held accountable for the completion of the final cut.
