SCE Santa Monica Studio

Best known for developing the God of War franchise, Sony Computer Entertainment’s Santa Monica Studio holds nine awards from The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences as well as British Academy of Film and Television Arts awards in Technical Achievement and Story and Character for God of War 2.

Vigil Games

David Adams, Joe Madureira, Marvin Donald, and Ryan Stefanelli founded Vigil Games in 2005. After hatching a plan to leave their PC game development jobs and open an independent studio to create console games, the group went into intensive garage development and premiered their ideas at E3. Vigil quickly gained interest from THQ to publish the first title, Darksiders.

Technical Writer

Working closely with the software engineers and systems engineers, technical writers are responsible for creating numerous forms of documentation; these include online help pages, user manuals, internal design specifications, and similar publications. Their primary task is to distill large amounts of technical instruction and jargon into clear, detailed documents that accurately describe the functions and components of pertinent technologies.

Gameloft

The Guillemot brothers, founders of Ubisoft, launched Gameloft in 1999. The French game development studio and publisher has more than 200 games to its credit, including the award-winning mobile Assassin’s Creed series. 

Naughty Dog

In the late 1980s, the developer that would later become known as Naughty Dog was busy pushing out indie titles from a garage. In 1994, the company began work on the first title in the Crash Bandicoot series for the PlayStation console. Collectively, the four titles in the Crash franchise sold more than 22 million copies.

Quantic Dream

David Cage, a professional musician and game designer, established the French game development studio in 1997. Today, Cage serves as President of Quantic Dream with CEO Guillaume de Fondaumière.

High Moon Studios

High Moon Studios is a video game developer best known for creating action titles based on licensed properties from the Transformers and Bourne films. The company is a subsidiary of Activision.

Vicarious Visions

Guha and Karthik Bala started Vicarious Visions in the basement of their parents’ home in 1991 while the two were still in high school. In 1994, the company was incorporated and moved to a college dorm room. Vicarious Visions signed its first publishing deal for the Synnergist PC CD-ROM that same year.

BioWare

Soon after graduating as medical doctors, Ray Muzyka, Greg Zeschuk, and Augustine Yip founded BioWare as a game development studio in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. In 2008, Electronic Arts acquired the company.
