There was a little television studio not far from a restaurant that my father ran, a little Mexican place,” Oscar says. “[The studio] guys would stop in from time to time. [My dad] went over and said, ‘Hey, my son’s all right at fixing stuff and he’s relatively clever. Could you guys give him a job?’”

Video Logger

This person is not the president of The Situation’s fan club, but a video logger whose job it is to watch and annotate the months’ worth of fist-pumping and binge-drinking recorded in order to produce a 13-episode season. 

Television Director

For the director, television is a very different beast. In film production, he or she is the ultimate creative voice on set, but on the small screen, the director has a far more limited role and is constrained by the show’s format. Multi-camera shoots, live productions, and sitcoms each present unique challenges unlike that of a movie.
