What to Expect
The company may be best known for producing vehicles for SNL alumni, but its portfolio of work also includes post-production work on the Syfy Channel’s Battlestar Galactica and Tin Man, as well as Showtime’s Dexter and programming for Discovery Channel and Nickelodeon. Broadway’s design department was involved in the massive “Imagine Greater” rebranding campaign for Syfy (formerly Sci-Fi), and has contributed to commercials for MSNBC and Wal-Mart.
Headquartered in Manhattan’s Brill Building, Broadway’s office includes 16 creative suites for offline editing, online finishing, color correction, and compositing. The company employs a full-time post-production staff that works with Avid, Final Cut Studio, and Adobe After Effects—all industry standard systems. Facilities are also available for audio and equipped with Pro Tools. Studios are set up for ADR, scoring, mixing, and Foley, with a large selection of gear available to meet each production’s varying needs.
Broadway Video employs more than 100 people at its New York location and Los Angeles offices, which are dedicated to television development and currently producing 30 Rock and Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. Positions exist for full-time artistic and technical staff, as well as professional roles in marketing and finance. Entry-level gigs as post-production assistants or office PAs are available, and the company offers college credit internships periodically.
