Harris Associates, then more than a decade later transformed itself into PRG in response to clients who wanted a one-stop shop for all of their entertainment technology needs. The company provides solutions for film, television, trade shows, concerts, and other special events. Positions within the company range from account management and client relations to technical design. The core of the business and customer satisfaction is the warehouse and production staffs. These technicians are highly trained and skilled individuals with professional expertise in lighting, audio, rigging, and scenic construction. Entry-level positions require a high school diploma and at least two years of experience. Duties include prepping gear for delivery, packing road cases, and cleaning equipment. Internships are available to current college students or recent graduates, and are paid, full-time roles. Mid-level technicians possess at least five years of professional credits; they repair and test gear, prep equipment for rental, and go out on gigs. Expect your job interview to include a phone interview discussing your qualifications, as well as technical questions concerning your level of proficiency with industry-standard equipment.
