Travis Atria is a writer and musician living in Gainesville, Fla. As a writer, he works regularly for Paste Magazine and the award-winning hip-hop/R&B magazine, Wax Poetics, and he has also worked for People, The Big Takeover and Guitarist. His stories have been published in America, the United Kingdom and Japan. He has also received numerous rejection letters from some of the finest magazines in the world and is currently working on the first ever biography of Curtis Mayfield. As a musician, he has written, recorded, produced, engineered, and released four albums (and counting) with Morningbell and a double-album with his side project, The Slims. His music has been featured on MTV’s The Real World and GQ.com, and he has performed all over the country, including at Bonnaroo and SXSW.
